What is the correct way to say leupold? some say it Lee-a-pold, some say Loo-pold what is the right way?

I talked to a guy that worked there and he said that they were supposed to say Loo-pold, but most people say Lee-pold I think. I think we need Rick.

LooPold, LewPold, not much difference, but that's the correct pronouncation according to Tom Frechtel, their president.
Anybody saying it 'Lee-u-pold' is just not a true afficionado.

Leupold is the name of the German inventer that traveled to America.
Leupold in english is "LOOP-HOLD" as has been determined (congrats Glen
) , however in German is it more like "LOY-POLT".
I like to pronounce Leupold "One heck of a Scope"

I don't see where Lee-a-pold ever came from Leupold........but I am from the midwest!!!!!!!!!
