Mounted the scope on my 1953 Remington 721 in 30/06 and went to the range today. I have discovered that when there is enough wind to MOVE the bench that I am SITTING on...then it is time to go home.

How does it seem compared to your other scopes? It looks good. When I really can tell one from the other is when I am at the bench on the range and pick one up after another and use them. I have yet to buy a high end scope all though I've come close a time or two.

Well...don't know yet. On my varmint type rifles, I use Nikko Stirling 6-24x56 mil dot, side focus "NightEater" scopes. In my opinion, these are the best bang for the buck in scopes. Prior to Jan 15, these could be purchased at cheaperthandirt for $144 + shipping. Now..they are 204 + shipping. Feature fully multi coated lenses, side focus, quick eye focus, target type turrets with positive locks, & extended mildots on a 30 mm tube.

I did buy a Nightforce 8-32 a couple months ago, but have not made a trip to the range with it...yet.

I also have a Pentax LightSeeker 30, 8-32....

So....I will be making a side by side comparison...soon.

I did shoot this weekend, 15 shots through my 30/06. Eye relief is VERY good...as advertised - 3.6". Clarity is excellent....until 24 power (little fuzzy around the edges).

I do know this - mildots, fully multicoated, & etched reticle in the lenses....for $125 delivered, I don't think you can beat it.

I have a Konus Pro 6X24. This scope has been on 3 different rifles. A 243 and 2 204's. The scope hasn't failed me yet. Mine isn't the mil dot but the 30/30 reticule which I really like. Right now its sitting on top of my new rem 700 VTR. I beleive I paid 99 bucks for it on ebay a couple of years ago. I think its an excellent bargain.Dave

Dave - thanks for the feedback. Mine sits on a Remington 721 in 30/06. Shoots 5 shot cloverleafs with 175/178/180 gra bullets at 100 yards and blows apart milk jugs at 600 yards.

I am actually looking at a 6-24x52 or 8-32x52 M30 Konus Pro....they are in the $300 range right now.

Anybody use an M30 Konus Pro yet???
