Bushnell 6500 Elite

Post by Hawkeye Joe »

Anybody see one yet? If so, I would like to hear about it. That 4.5-30x50 Mil Dot is sure lookin nice with that kind of flexibility. The book says it's available after March 15. The 2.5-16's are available now.

try http://www.swfa.com they are listing them as in stock. This is the best place (prices) to buy scopes in my opinion.
Why carry a gun? Because I cant carry a cop and I cant throw rocks 1100 feet per second!

I know how pleased I've been with my two 3200's and a 4200. The 6500 must be like a 4200 on steroids!

If you are looking for low prices on quality optics, you may want to try this link:

http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/bush ... nell654305

They have the Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50, Part# 654305M & 654305MD, Matte Black, with Fine Multi-X & Mil Dot Reticles Available for $150.00 less than SWFA!!!! However, check out the paragraph at the bottom of this post about SWFA's 110% price guarantee!!!!!

Here's a link to those scopes at SWFA:

http://www.swfa.com/c-2172-bushnell-eli ... copes.aspx

Now, if SWFA still has their 110% price guarantee, you could buy the scope from SWFA at the Cameraland NY price minus 10% of the difference in price between the two companies--in other words, you could get it from SWFA for $749.99 minus ($150 x .10) or $749.99 - $15 = $734.99!!!

My favorite scope place the Optic Zone has them for $739. I paid $699 + tax at my local gun shop. Any day now it should be here.

I'm thinking one of these would be real pretty sitting on top of a 50bmg rifle!

Finally picked it up today. All I can say is this is one sweet scope. Very clear!! I have the 4.5-30 mill dot version. I was worried about my reticle choice thinking the dots and hair would be too thick. I was sooo wrong. Zeroing the turrets is also a breeze. Just pull up on the turret and turn, then push back down to lock. And for you guys who need a sunshade, your out of luck, No threads. Maybe I could use a TP tube  . Eye relief was also generous. Now if I could only pry my NF off my AR so I can field test her  .

Regarding the sunshade. I have a Dvorak sunshade (bought at Natchez). It is soft rubber and just slips on. They are available in different sizes so there is one to fit about any scope. They cost around $10.00.
