Hey guys, got rid of my Sig. Select and picked up a 6.5x20x56 Leupy VL-X. What height rings are you guys running? I know Leupold says low but I have seen another site that says I will need Mediums.......Scope will be going on Warne 2 piece bases on top of a LRPV. Thanks in advance guys! -Dan

On the LRPV you might have to go high with the 56mm obj. HTH

Danny: As you'll use Warne rings, and they're made with a vertical split design, I'm pretty sure medium will work well. You MAY be able to get away usng low rings, but I doubt it, considering your scope has Leupold's largest objective bell, the 56mm version. The VX-L does allow for lower mounting, but that's a pretty large objective you need to clear.

The low rings may not allow your bolt handle to clear the ocular bell either, something else to consider....... Why not just call Leupold Technical Services and ask them what ring height you'll need, using Warne rings? :chin:

Thanks for the replies guys, I forgot to mention that i will be using Burris Signature Zee Rings on top of the Warne Bases. And i have been meaning to get ahold of Leupold but I have been working 80+ hrs trying to finish up work in the fields and i don't get in until late and quick get on here before the shower and bed. Thanks again Glen and Rick!
