Leupold QRW rings

Post by RoadKill »

Many years ago tried TC’s then new first attempt at quick detach mounts hoping to share one scope with multiple barrels but sent it back after being less than impressed. Now I am considering the Leupold QRW ring and base for my Remington 700 with hope of being able to remove and replace the scope at cleaning time without too drastic a change in zero but my worst fear is of premature wear from the repeated use. Anyone using the Leupold QRW? :?:

I've had experience with both the QRW and the QR ring/mounts, and can say that from my limited experience, both returned to within 1/8" of perfect zero (@ 100) every time, usually closer. They work quite well in the field in my estimation, unless you're shooting a match. JMO

Thanks Rick in Oregon. No competition shooting here, just a .204 play toy DIY project in progress. I’m trying to help prevent cleaning slime from dribbling about the Leupold, bedding, and Jewell after I actually start using this one. I’ve preferred the double dovetail in the past but think I’ll give these a try.
