Burris and Pentax

Post by greystone »

I've heard that the Burris Fulfield II 4.5-14X 42 is the same scope as the Pentax Pioneer II with the Pentax scope being about 100 bucks cheaper. Does anyone know if this is true. Thanks

I do know that Pentax uses, under license, the Burris Ballistic Plex reticle. I don't know if the 4.5-14's are the same scope, but since the plain-jane FFII's are made in Asia (my Tactical 6.5-20x50 FFII is marked "Made in USA"), I wouldn't be shocked.

The factory in Greely, Co. has Burris sign on one side and Pentax sign on the other, for what ever that's worth. I've had excellent performance from Burris scopes over the years and fine service too. Give them a call, they were always happy to answer my questions.
