sup? Just purchased a big L 8.5-25 vx3 target dot with all the bells and whistles. This was a very large purchase for my pocketbook and i plan on keeping it for a long time to come. My question is has anyone tried the Burris Pos-Align signature rings with the plastic bushings, and what you think of them. I would really like to take care of the scope. The advertising claims no damage to scope finish. This is my first 30MM tube scope. I always lapped my 1" tube rings but I dont have a 30mm tool. (my other tool was a 1'' od steel tube with a bolt through it& turtle wax polishing compound.) If any one has any tips without buying a high dollar reamer they would be much appreciated. Jeez thats alot of typing.

Sako Opitloc rings are the same (made by Burris) I have them on my Sako and I like them. They grab the scope like you woulden't believe. I have removed the scope to install lower rings (also Optiloc) not a mark although I believe the allignment is more important. I spoke with the guy who owns Accuflite (Sako specialist) and they use no other rings on thier custom rifles.

The Signature Rings are outstanding. I do have a ring lapping tool that I will never use again. They are exactly what Burris advertises them to be. They self align and are a snap to use.
Here's the real beauty. With the offset inserts and windage adjustable bases you can pretty much zero your scope without ever touching the internal scope adjustments. For example, I used them to mount a Burris Signature Scope and when I finished the mounting, adjustments and then shot it, I am only 1 or 2 clicks from zero on the internal scope adjustments. It does take some fiddling, but that's what I wanted and I did it without a tremendous amount of effort.
Those Signature Rings are the only way to mount a scope.
