Not that I plan on purchasing these, its just a curiosity question..

Is there a reason that I never hear of folks using Lyman or Dillon dies?

I'm happy with my Lee, redding, and Wilson..

I use Lyman for all my pistol reloading. Love the "M" expander die and would recommend it to anyone loading straight walled cartridges.
Forster is my prefered bottle neck die maker

Yup it seems that Lyman and Dillon seem to have the straight wall segment.

Just curious why Lee, RCBS, Hornady seem to float above them in estimation for bottle-neck applications..

Wilson, Forster, Redding, Neil Jones: that I understand...

I truly, truly LOVE my Dillon pistol dies. IF you have a problem, no big deal - pull the clip remove the center of the body, take care of the problem, and back in place....takes about 30 seconds max.

I have Hornady, RCBS, Lee, and Lyman, but prefer the Dillon.

Also prefer the Dillon or Lee for the crimp die - their crimp is just right.
