Alliant 10X
Alliant 10X
I really like the way 10X powder shoots in my Cooper but, it is REALLY dirty. I don't use brushes on this barrel but this stuff makes me want to. Anybody else have this experience?

Then use plastic brushes.
I do. I even use some NO GRIT liquid metal polish to get the stubborn copper out.

Re: Alliant 10X
Get some Bore Tech C4 Carbon Remover and follow the instructions (you'll need some nylon bore brushes). This stuff removes powder fouling better than anything I have used in a long time. I use Barnes CR-10 for copper fouling, but followed by Bore Tech's C4 it's amazing how much powder residue came out. Seems the universal cleaning solvents don't really tackle the carbon. Black on the patch is powder fouling, brown or a gray-brown is carbon. Reloader 10x is just the best in my .204 Ruger, producing astonishingly small groups.
