Primers

Post by WrzWaldo »

Finally got me some small and large pistol primers.

The gun shop I frequent had a whole lotta small and large pistol, large rifle, and large rifle magnum...

Last week they got in a bunch of powder.

Things are looking up.

Anyone else seeing supplies coming in?

Hey Waldo, good to see you back here hanging out. An industry friend told me yesterday they're starting to see it loosen up a tad, and my wife also told me she's seeing signs of things getting better (she's the purchasing agent for a major bullet company). It will take a while, but it should return to 'normal', whatever that means.

One question I've had: With all the companies that make primers running three shifts and shipping every day, WHERE are all these primers now? In some government warehouse somewhere? Did some entity buy up a zillion primers? WTF? :chin:

Way to score on the primers! I work at an outdoor store and we even ran out of shotgun primers. Federal said that they were 5 months behind on orders for primers. I heard that there will not be any more match primers by Federal until next year. Heard that Hodgdons will have some more powder on the market this month.

They just as well not have any.... the few i have seen down here are $50/1000 for Rifle up to $80/1000 for BR2's.....

None to be had out here in Sunny Alberta. I still have about 2 or 3 thou so I should be okay for this season.
