Happy New Year to all and hope 2008 is a safe and healthy one too. I need tp pick your brains on Winchester Mod 70 Coyote stainless 24" barrel wood laminated stock, glass bedded from the factory. I had the troat opened up to try 190 bergers and a no go. Can't find a pet load for her with bullet weight between 150 to 190. Can't get less than a inch group for 3 shots at a 100 yrds. This is ok for hunting , but not acceptable to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just to help a little, I got and tried norma brass, different seating lenghts, powders and primers.............I think I'm ready to change out the barrel. The factory barrel has me puzzled cleans up well and no signs of copper problems.
Thanks for any help

Re: 300 WSM
In mine, I got (a one time only thing, but it did happen) a 3 shot clover leaf at 100m with 65gn ADI 2209 powder, CCI magnum primer and 165gn Hornady SST . Rifle is M70 sporter laminated stock blued barrel.
Hodgdon repackage and sell ADI powders but I'm sorry, I dont know which one is 2209. (Like I know 2208 is varget and 2206h is H4895) Someone should be along to enlighten you shortly!

Re: 300 WSM
ADI 2209 is rebranded by Hodgon as H4350.
