Does anyone have experience in reloading with the Hornaday 45 grain SP Bullets? I have a 20 Vartarg I was thinking of trying them in. I did a test measurement with them for overall length and was surprised how much I had to shorten my seating depth compared to other 20 caliber projectiles.

I have wondered
about them also, but when so many of the 20's with a 1/12 twist don't seem too shoot the 40 grain bullet, yet will the 39 grain, I just figured these would not shoot well either. I guess the only way to be sure would be shoot some in a given rifle/twist and see. Bill K

I went ahead and ordered 100 as a trial… With my barrel having a 1:11 twist want to see how they perform. I will go ahead and start a load work up and will let you know.

Interested in your findings, but then with me having to use lead free on all hunting of any animal, I may not give them a try, even for paper. Thanks. BIll K
