Has anyone noticed a different point of impact when switching
from small pistol primers to large pistol primers when using
the same loads. My buddy gave me some 45acp brass with
the small primers. I have been using the large primers.
Just wondering. Thanks

Re: 45acp primers
Seem like no one is coming forth with info. I did shoot a few small pistol primed .45acp a few years back and at that time, I noticed no difference in POI on a general practice course. Bill K

Thanks Bill. I wasn't sure if the increased primer charge would change anything.

Re: 45acp primers
Just as a side line thought. I have a 6.8 Spc and I have a few small rifle primed case's for it, most are large rifle. In shooting this rifle and round, there is no change between either of rounds, with the same loads/bullets in either sr or lr case's. I have not chronied the, but POI, etc. does not seem to make one bit of difference. Bill Kchuckhunter wrote:Thanks Bill. I wasn't sure if the increased primer charge would change anything.
