20 Practicl using CFE223
I have just got a 20 Practical and would like to try loading with CFE223. Does any one have experience with this combination with 32 and39 grain bullets?

I have not tried CFE 223 in my 20 Practical yet. But what I read, it may work best with the heavier bullets. I see some date ( for the 20 Tac) of which I have used shows up to around 27 grains with the 40 grain bullet. I would start around 25 grains and work up, as that is what the manuals show too do with 20 Tac loads in the 20 Practical. At least this may give you a heads up/start area. Bill K

Re: 20 Practicl using CFE223
i have a 20 practical. it was a .204 t/c venture which comes with a 1-10" twist. i have tried a lot of different loads with this gun and am truly amazed how well it shoots. mostly i use h-322, rem 7.5 primers and either 39 grain sierras or 40 v-max. i have had excellent results with h-4198 @ 23.5 grains. i have chronographed 32 grain nosler tipped bullets or v-max at over 4,000fps. i have yet to shoot any cfe loads in this rifle but i have some loaded. i am just waiting for better weather. right now in n. idaho we have about 10" of snow on the ground. i love that little rifle and have shot groups in the teens.
