I just bought a Dillon 650 for my .45, 9, and .223 and was wondering if anyone on here has used a Progressive reloader for .204. I ask because I see it as being a pain to resize the brass to proper dimensions without a case guage. As far as I know Dillon doesn't sell a case guage for .204.......
Since the shell plate and powder drop for a .223 will work for the .204 I figured that I would give it a shot.......

There is no need for a Dillon case gauge. Just get a Wilson case gauge instead.

Re: Dillon xl650 for .204
I use a Dillon RL550B for all my .45 ACP loading, considered using it for varmint loads, but cleaning/deburring primer pockets becomes an issue, and after due deliberation, I've decided to stay with my single stage press for precision varmint/target loads, and leave the "speed" to loading pistol stuff.
I want to inspect every aspect of the case/bullet/powder when I'm loading for precision, but I know guys who load 223's on their Dillon, and they kill a decent amount of grass rats too........

I load 40 and 223 on my 550, but haven't done a lot of the 223 on it to be honest. It's just not something I would do again. I won't even load 44 magnum stuff in mine, and I shoot a bunch of those. To much worry of a big kaboom.

I ave reloaded 10,000's of 223 and a few hundred 204 rounds on my 650 with out any worries at all! As long as i carefully prep my brass first the rest is all most boring!
