Re: New stock

I have 2 12 FV and a 12 low pro. .204 .223 and .243 The issue with the FV is the internal mag and the the very light flimsy stock. I switched stocks around and the Boyd's stocks are good just make sure you pick the right one. If I was doing Boyd's I would go with the Savage shooters ramp and make a ...

Re: Choice of used 204

I actually own a Savage 17 WSM and am a fan of the Accutrigger. Very few dealers here in Ireland stock Savage rifles.....204's are like hens teeth! Its simple Fly in to the states find what you are looking for fly back home. All bullshit aside there is nothing on the gun or ammo shelves here either

I know you didnt mention Savage but you can get one of the model 12 .204 variants for less than $600 new if you look around add stock of your choice like the top of the line oryx for 400 that comes with the mag conversion and you would have a tack driver for around a $1000 Or get one of the long ran...

Re: Critical life decision, need advice :)

You can buy a complete upper from white oak armament for $830. You could get 24" or 26" .204 1-10 twist and it shoots lights out 32 grain V-Max

Re: What trigger for an AR?

I shoot savages as well as AR's and like the RRA 2 stage varmint because it feels similar to the savage acccu trigger. Some ppl dont like 2 stage so you would have to ask him I think its very smooth and reasonable for one of the best 2 stage AR triggers you can buy. Kit can be had for $95.00 https:/...

Re: New 204 Ruger Build

What do you have on the barrel for a flash or compensator. Some of the flash suppressors can affect accuracy You might try a group or two with out it and see

Re: A couple random questions

If you have a shooting rest like a Caldwell led sled where you can really lock the rifle down for consistency. Its a good idea to try a couple groups with the rifle locked down. I like to shoot 2 three shot groups after I'm done sighting it in this way when I start shooting off of bags I know what t...

Re: carbon ring

I work at a big diesel shop and we use Techron to get rid of carbon. Makes removal a lot easier I have never tried it on a gun. Cant think of why it wouldn't work
