Loads being equal they will reach the same distance. Heavy target barrels are usually more accurate and take longer to get hot when varmint shooting. A well built hunting rifle will shoot every bit as good as most factory heavy barrels.

Looks like the 4 shots grouped work out to about a .23, that's some fine shooting!

What's the load specifics?

Do you mean David Tubb's Final Finish System?

Where did you find it in .204?

this has got my interest ever since Silverfox (I think) posted the link to the 6br site some time ago. This thread explains it in terms a dummy like me can understand so thanks, but and the big but, DO SHINY CASES SHOOT BETTER? Yes they do! It's part of my mental prep. Have you tried before and aft...

You DO use the beakers and you stand the brass upright in the BEAKERS and then set them in the plastic basket?
Bingo!

I used pickle jars at first and they seemed to work alright but beakers are easier to get the brass in and out of.

... One of my best groups was with 24.4 gr. of RE-10X with the 35 gr. Berger. That's way down on the low end of the ladder. I did notice that the groups shrunk again at about 25.6 and 25.8 gr. It was kinda like it liked two different charges. ... This is an area I have been looking at for a while. ...

I do mine 20 per beaker and they are all standing on the base. I also use a bit more soap in my solution (2 teaspoons per gallon of solution). Here are the necks from the neglected range brass from my previous post. http://wrzwaldo.org/koolaid/Range%20Brass%20Before%20(necks).jpg http://wrzwaldo.org...

Grab a box of the 32gr loads and give them a try. Your barrel is still a baby at under 200 rounds.

BL-C(2)

Figured I'd kill two birds with one post. My 1st favorite load and some shot paper.

As of today this is my personal best with this rifle.

The pressure was really on with #5 and I choked!

Here is (part of) what Zumbo said. I must be living in a vacuum. The guides on our hunt tell me that the use of AR and AK rifles have a rapidly growing following among hunters, especially prairie dog hunters. I had no clue. Only once in my life have I ever seen anyone using one of these firearms. I ...

The N.U.B.

Those probe type units are quite versatile! I still have a couple pickle jars in my beaker rotation. ;)

My unit has a plastic basket that hangs in the tub without touching the bottom of the tub. I tried it with the beakers sitting right on the tub and it was loud and didn't seem to clean as quickly.

Missed this one. Do you mean an actual 3/4" at 300 yds or 3/4 MOA (2.25ish") at 300 yds?

Interesting... You shoot better at 200 than 100.
