Re: Coyote pups

I haven't seen any coyote pups but I have seen a ton of fawns the past few weeks, I'm talking 20-25. I've been out camping at the local lake and it is chalk full of deer. I saw two dandy bucks in full velet this past Saturday as well!

Re: 6.5 Grendel

Hawkeye, I'm in the process of putting together an AR myself and have been I've been looking at the 6.5 Grendel for awhile. I think I've convinced myself to go another route though. A local shop builds custom AR uppers (very accurate I might add) and he has his own wildcat that I'm thinking of tryin...

Re: Range Results with my LRPV

I'll make sure to throw the chrony in the next trip to the range. I'm intersted to see what I can do with some of the other powders with the 32's but I think I'm going to work with the 39's and 35's first. I have about 1,100 loaded up with the 26.6 grains of H322 left over from my PD trip so I'm goo...

Re: Smith & Wesson Model 41

Rick & huntsman22 It is a done deal, I bought the 41this afternoon! I left work a bit early to drive down and check her out. The pictures I was sent do not do it any justice at all. There are a couple handeling marks but it looks much cleaner in person. The earliest that I can pick it up is Mon...

Re: Smith & Wesson Model 41

Rick That is one sweet looking rig you have there! The one I'm looking at shows some bluing wear but we'll see what it looks like in person. I'm buying it to shoot it so I guess as long as it shoots well, it'll have a little character. I'm taking off work early tomorrow to go check her out, I can't ...

Re: Smith & Wesson Model 41

Rick, Here's a couple pictures of the little Smith. I think I am going to make the trip this weekend to check it out. It's not mint but seems to be in decent shape, at least worthy of checking it out in person. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s290/mjweste/Toys/2-2-062004_0101004.jpg http://i155.p...

Experiences with Trijicon RedDots

Does anyone have any experience with Trijicon's RedDot? I'm thinking about taking the scope off my Performance Center S&W 41 mag and putting on a red dot for deer season this year.

Thanks!

Re: Smith & Wesson Model 41

Rick Thanks for the info. I was thinking today that you might have a model 41 being a huge Smith fan. I've been reading about them for the past couple weeks and thought that was a decent price, not a steal but reasonable. I've also been looking at after market barrels, as I would like to get a barre...

Smith & Wesson Model 41

I'm looking at possibly picking up a S&W model 41 this weekend. It has the 5.5" bull barrel and two pair of grips (stock and an aftermarket target set). It's an older model with the cocking indicator, I will be receiving picking tomorrow with hope to check it out this weekend. Once I get th...

Re: Cougar Defense Weapon Acquired by Silverfox--Thanks Mentors!

I would agree, if you haven't stopped the cougar by 6 shots it might be a little late! Mine is a 686 plus model with a 2 1/2" barrel. I haven't had it very long and unfortunately I haven't had a lot of time to shoot it but after a couple hundred rounds it's near the top of the list as my favori...

Re: Cougar Defense Weapon Acquired by Silverfox--Thanks Mentors!

Silverfox - that's a nice lookin' 686 you got there. I picked one up late last year and love it. I bought mine for defense from the two-legged critters. I'm in the process of working up loads currently with mine. I am also going to get a set of meprolight adjustable night sights ordered in the next ...

Re: New Project - Building a "black rifle"

some say it's sound, some say it's insane.... This will be my first "custom" gun project where I am choosing components so it's going to be fun. I am interested in building a large caliber boltgun as well but it'll have to wait until this project is over. I had plans to build the bol...

Re: New Project - Building a "black rifle"

acloco - I guess I've always got to have something a little different plus I got a smoking deal on the Rock River AR15 lower with a Williams set trigger so I need someting that will fit on that platform. Another reason is White Oak Arms is only about 15-20 minutes from my house so it's nice to keep...
