I've got a B-Square Gunsmith Screwdriver Set that I got for Christmas from Midway that works well. I'm always able to find the bit that fits each screw head perfectly.

I was wondering when Tikka would bring out a .204 over here. I personally haven't had any experience with Tikka but i've read some good things.

well it sounds like you guys can at least handle the gun and play around with it....mine came in today, now i just need to make the trip back to the home to pick it up. I don't know what's worse, having the gun in your possession but not being able to shoot it or waiting to pick it up and bring it h...

Keep me posted on how things go, I'm hoping to start reloading the 41 this fall sometime. I just ordered my 204 yesterday so I'm planning spending a good portion of my time finding a load for it. Once I accomplish that, I'll move on to the 41 mag.

Ordered my LRPV and scope today!

I placed an order for my new Savage LRPV 204 today along with a VX-II 6-18 Leupold with the LRV reticle. Within a week or two I should have my new rifle. I may have it sooner depending on when I can make the trip back "home" to pick it up. Unfortunately, the dealer that I have always gone ...

BrianW - mine came with the nice Performance Center hardcase. My girlfriend actually bought me the pistol for Christmas this year so I'd say I've got two keepers! Mine was also NIB and it came with the 4x Weaver scope and rings. I don't have a set of wood grips for it yet. What do you have for wood ...

I took it out Wednesday and was shooting steel plates free-hand. The gun is an absolute blast to shoot. It's by far the most fun thing I have to shoot....but then again I haven't gotten my 204 yet! Soon.....very soon...

Rick - Thanks for the info. I've only got to shoot it once and the weather turned on me that day so I didn't get to spend much time with it. I'll try and get my hands on some of Elmer Keith's material. I'm looking forward to learning all that I can. I'll keep you posted on both accuracy and then hop...

New toy for next years deer season

Here's my new toy for next years' deer season! http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s290/mjweste/Toys/41Mag.jpg It's a model 657 Smith & Wesson Performance Center 41 Remington Mag. I've only got to shoot it once so far and accuracy was impressive (considering I'm new to the revolver world). I can'...

Rack's not huge but it was a big bodied deer. None the less, he's tasty!
