Re: Pics of your 204's

Here's my '07 LRPV with a Leupold VX-II 6-18x40mm with the LRV Reticle. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s290/mjweste/Toys/DSC00266.jpg Not a .204 or even a rifle but a blast to shoot! Smith & Wesson Performance Series Model 657 with 4x Weaver Scope http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s290/mjwe...

Looking at possibly picking up a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Mag

So I stopped in the locale gunshop afterwork and fell in love with a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Mag. The gun has a custom finish, the trigger and action have been worked over and it has a couple sets of grips. It also has a smooth cyclinder similar to my Smith & Wesson. My question is, does someone ...

Re: My new 204 load

Nice shooting! I'm using H322 myself but with Hornaday 32's and have pretty good luck...not as good as that though...might have to try the 32 Sierra BK's!

That's good to here! I'm looking for a carry rifle that won't cost an arm and a leg but will still shoot well. I've narrowed my choices a bit to either a .270, .270 WSM or a 30-06. I'm still struggling on which to choose.

What versions do you guys have? I'm looking at the Hunter.

Melvin, thanks for the response. I'm looking mostly to do pheasant hunting, I might get into a little quail but a majority of my bird hunting is for pheasants.

Bird Dog Trainers in Central Illinois?

Does anyone know of any bird dog trainers in Illinois? I'm looking to take my Weimaraner somewhere.

My LRPV likes 26.6 grains of H322 or 27.4 grains (still working out which is better) Winchester cases 32 grain Hornaday V-Max Remington 71/2 primers OAL of 2.29 5 shot - .4" groups at 100 yards I've only got 80 rounds down the pipe and I'm playing with the OAL so I expect the groups to tighten.

I knew if I picked it up, it would be going home with me and at the time I was working on picking out a .204. I love my model 64 .22 that I have and I'm pretty sure when I pick up a .17 it'll have to be the Anschutz. I know they are a lot of money and you can get a sweet shooting savage or marlin fo...

I'd like to thank everyone for their insights into this topic....I don't believe my choice is going to be any easier but there is a lot of good information out there. When the time comes to pick up another centerfire and I choose a cartrige, I will probably have additional questions. Thanks again fo...

haha...I got a kick out of those videos....that just adds fuel to the fire...two more months and I'll be headed out on my first PD hunt.

When out at the club I always hope some poop black bird will land in the range but it hasn't happened yet.

Not only can you shoot rodents and varmints pretty much year around....for me it's much cheaper to hunt things that I don't care about hanging on the wall. I know as soon as I go elk or antelope hunting I'll be adding another head or body to my collection! From the looks of things, if you hit a prai...

I saw one of the Anschutz .17's at the last gun show I was at...I never got close because I knew I would buy it as soon as I picked it up! However, I'm regretting my decision now.

doubleA - Your Anschutz are absolutely gorgeous! If you don't mind, what do they typically go for. I've got an Anshutz benchrest .22 that I absolutely love.
