Pictures from this past weekends trip to Nebraska (graphic)

I got home last last night from my second trip out to western Nebraska. This one proved to be much more rewarding than last year (even though last year was enough to get me hoooked). The weather ended up holding out and we had plenty of dogs to keep us busy. Within the 1st couple hours, I had alread...

Re: Nebraska Round #2

I think we are staying in Bridgeport, I'd have to double check though. For one I wasn't in charge of getting things set up! Last year we stayed in Oshkosh, we have another place to shoot over in Scotts Bluff so we wanted to move a little closer.

Re: Nebraska Round #2

Will do! The temperatures look like they are going to be good but it looks like a 30-40% chance of rain pretty much every day we are going to be out there. If I remember right from last year we had a shower each day as well.

I'm hoping the dogs are out in good numbers!

Re: Loaded .204 Ammo and Powder For Sale

Any ideas on why this is the first of maybe 5 powders I've used to load for this rifle and it won't cycle the action? This may answer my question. From The Gun Digest Book Of The AR-15, By Patrick Sweeney, Kevin Michalowski : http://files.mleaf.net/10x/10x-will-not-cycle.jpg That is interesting. I'...

Nebraska Round #2

I'm packing up for my second trip out to Nebraska, last year was my 1st experience shooting prairie dogs and I loved it. I've got my LRPV ready to go with 950 rounds and my newly assembled White Oak Arms AR15 is also ready. I'll be taking 500 rounds for it. I'm hoping to see a good amount of dogs be...

Re: Nebraska Prairie Dog Trip

Looks like you had a great time! I'll be headed out to Nebraska Thursday morning for a long weekend of PD shooting. I can't wait to get back out there.

Re: Help Picking A SAVAGE

My vote is for the LRPV as well. They will flat out shoot tiny groups. A bit on the heavy side for a carry gun but for bench shooting and working in a prairie dog town it is perfect!

Re: Ballistic software - whats good?

I recently picked up Sierra's Infinity Ballistic software which gives you multiple trajectory charts and graphics, point blank range, calculate zero, uphill/downhill shooting, maximum range, minute of angle, profiled wind and all kinds of atmospherics variables that you can play with among a bunch o...

Re: Berger Bullets email Tech Info Available

In the past couple days I've been exchaning emails with Bryan in order to get some load data for the 52 and 55 grain Varmint Match bullets that I've picked up for the new rifle project. Bryan has been very helpful and responses were timely. I can't wait to get this new rig out to the range. The wife...

Re: Greetings From the Hospital!

Rick - I hope you have a speedy recovery. I've had my share of surgeries (7) and can't even begin to tell you the number of stitches, nuts, bolts, screws and pins I've had or do have holding things together and I haven't even hit 30 yet! It no fun at all but hopefully you'll soon be back behind one ...

Re: My upper is ready!

I finally got a chacne to get a few pictures of the new rig and get them posted. Right now she is naked...no optics. To start with I'm going to bump the old man's new Nikon Monarch 3-12x 42mm with the BDC reticle. Plans are to add a Leupold VX-III 6-20 with the Varmint Hunters reticle but I need to ...

Re: My upper is ready!

I did get it picked up last night and installed on my Rock River lower. It's awesome!! :D

I haven't had a chance to get any pictures of it yet but I'll try and get them posted this afternoon. If it shoots as good as it looks, it's going to be a blast!

Danny...so here to about your loss. I'm posting a couple pictures of my 2 year old Weimaraner in hopes that it will bring you a smile... This picture was taken last week when we were at -16 below with a -42 windchill. I had to fabricate some booties so he could withstand the cold to go outside and d...

My upper is ready!

Just got a call today that my White Oak Arms upper for the AR15 I'm putting together is going to be ready to be picked up by Friday. I placed the order a couple weeks ago and about fell out of my chair listening to the voicemail today that it was ready. I figured it would be at least a 1-2 month wai...
