Dove opener

I can't wait until tomorrow. Is anyone else planning on going for Doves? There are few things more fun than being humilated by these fast darting birds. They are a blast to hunt. And tasty too!!!!

If you're looking for light carry rifle, I highly recommend the CZ 527 American. It's not available in stainless, but is a very accruate sporter weight rifle. There Varmint model is a little heavier than the American, but it does not weigh up like my Savage 12. I had a Ruger VT orginally and sold it...

I have the Marlin 17VS and the Savage 17 heavy barrel with the thumbhole stock. Both are excellent shooters and will give .5" groups at 100 yds. while shooting from the bench. Both have accounted for many squirrels and chucks, but my nod goes to the Savage. I worked on my Marlin's trigger and h...

Nice pics Rick. Makes me jealous we only have groundhogs here in Ohio to get after. Soon as this weather clears up our Hogs will be back our regularly again. The early warm weather here was great, but the recent return of winter has been a cruel joke. I thought that groundhog said we would have an e...

I've had the RCBS hand primer for 12 years and have seated thousands of primers with it. It gives you a very good feel of the primer seating and is a snap to use. The Sinclair is nice too, but I don't own one. Nice thing is that I'm only about 30 miles from Sinclair and it's like walking into a cand...

I got my CZ American about a year ago now. I my magazine length to be 2.333". I first loaded rounds to 2.32", but found that rounds would hang up in the magazine so I started loading to 2.300" and have had little trouble. You will love your CZ, that sporter barrel is scary accurate.

I cannot speak to the contenders, but my father-in-law put a BSA Platnium on his 22-250 a couple of years ago after his burris failed him while on a p-dog hunting trip. He has been so happy with it that he now also has a platinum on his 220 swift and his 25-06. Having shot all three guns I can say t...

Well, I guess I might as well introduce myself. My name is Andy Porter and I reside in the great flatness of NW Ohio. Have been hunting waterfowl like a nut since I can remember. I have really gotten into varmint/predator hunting in the last few years. After buying a 22-250 and having a blast, I cou...
