Thank you, one & all for the replies. Now I remember reading of the quick and dirty neck length gauge where one squeezes the base of a bullet out of round to near the neck diameter. So I did just that, squeezed the base of the bullet out to .203 and slightly neck sized a short cartridge. Having ...

Welcome: Deej, you will like things here; a great bunch of folks looking to help. A word of warning on the CZ, in all likelihood you will feel the need for a Varmint before long. Nothing wrong with the American, The heavier barrel just makes things that much better. That being said I Have a 204 in a...

In this case everything I try in this firelaped CZ American, in 204 is shooting better than before. The best-case scenario being the 40-grain V-max loads shooting 5 shot groups less than ¾” w 15 mph cross wind. In the past 2 to 3” groups, was the best I experienced with the 40 grain V...

Funny this should come up now. I had ordered a box of the 20 cal for my 204 CZ American, which has been extremely finicky what she, is being fed. And another box was purchased for a 223, which was not meeting my expectations. Both of these guns were requiring more time than I thought they should to ...

FH deburr

Robert Looks like you are doing some all out machining. Or at least one seems to be removing considerably more material that the burr, if one needs to install windows to evacuate chips.

Favorite 39-grain load for my CZ VARMINT Walnut in 204

The 39 BK shoots extremely true from by CZ Varmint. When using the BR-4 primer to set off a max 28 grain charge of Varget. The seating depth gives me an OAL of 2.285. Consistantly producing groups under a half minute when I am that consistant :)

Although a few passes with a hone to the face will neutralize the aggressive rake angle will clear up the issue w aggressiveness. A quick goggle...
