Re: My brass seems to be too soft

As usual Skipper has the goods on this one. Also remember that when you change bullets you will have to do it all again. Thankfully with the 204, the difference in bullet length from weight to weight isn't much as say the 270 where I load everything from 90gr to 150gr. I've not had any problems with...

Re: Dove opener

I went out, although not on the opener, I was at the family reunion. It was my 1st ever dove hunt. I hit the very 1st dove I ever shot at!!! Then I proceeded to miss the next 8 or 9! :lmao: I've been out twice and gotten 2 birds. :lmao: :lmao: Anybody got some mid-late season tips? The birds are ama...

Re: First Ever!

We generally just come up for the reunion on Labor Day but that property just sits there basically unused for the rest of the year. Every year we talk about going up more often but you know how that goes. I do want to plan an expedition up there in the winter so I will keep you in mind. A guide for ...

Re: Once fired brass?????

Ya I do know the signs of head separation. I have found with the .270 that the primer pockets actually get loose around the 8th reloading before any sort of ring developes around the base though. I just bought so much 204 brass intially that I have one lot at 4 firings (it was especially accurate), ...

Re: Interesting new 26 gr. bullet from Barnes

Ya I knew some of yall are closer than me. But that keeps you closer to The Big S*ity too!!! I havent tried the Triple Shock yet and the XLC isn't the most accurate out of my .270 but the terminal performance on deer is impressive!

Re: Once fired brass?????

If you are shooting a semi-automatic you will probably want to full length size every time just so that your ammo will feed and function properly. Skipper, you just answered one of those long wondered about questions for me!!!!!!!!! So next is, how many firings can you expect out of new Win., Remmy...

Re: another 204 Ruger Question for the masters

I would just keep shooting it. 1" groups at 200 are hard to be upset with. Maybe it's still just settlin in. Mine is a way different animal but it didn't group until I had 200+ down range. I think it'll come in for ya. Never had a problem with a M77.

Re: WS2 Coated Bullets

I are interested! But where would you buy the bullets and at what price? It doesn't SEEM cost effective to send you bullets and have them sent back. (I paid shipping to get them here) Also are there any concerns with cleaning PROMTLY cleaning with WS2? (I clean when I get a minute)

Re: Interesting new 26 gr. bullet from Barnes

I've been anticipating a Varmint Grenade in twenty cal. as I am about 70 miles from BARNES! I did not expect a 26gr LONG for caliber(???) bullet. I hope it does well. I'll buy a box. (gotta support the local team, ya know)

Re: Range today

I would stay with the Berger35s if I were you. That's a great group, especially considering you "called" the flyer. That's what "they" say is THE best coyote medicine around here anyway.

Re: My apologies to all.... O/T

Shucks buddy. You dont need to apologize for not coming around as much as you would like......you only need to apologize when you disappear with no word and then, months later reappear with no explaination!!! P.S. If they make their trucks even close to as well as their cars then I'm right wit...
