Re: Just had a .204 "failure"
It was a fine title. I was mostly just givin ya crap. I have no real love for the Vmaxs as I'm a Sierra kinda guy. If it was titled Vmax "failure" then I probably would have jumped right on the bandwagon with you.

Re: reloading for autoloaders
Hutch, I don't have any special techniqes. I have only tried H4895 and Re10x almost exclusively in new Win. brass. CCI 450s only. (I have a brick of Fed 205s that I've not started on yet) And I have tried both Vmaxes and both Blitzkings and am just starting with Bergers. I have had no issues at all ...

Re: Just had a .204 "failure"
Well Sum, when you describe it that way, I can't say that I would've done anything differently, at that range, with that load. I don't have any experience hitting a running yote. You can be sure that I will have this in mind when the time comes. Cracker does have a point, I would call it another Vma...

Re: Veterans Day
I'm a day late but......
God bless the U.S. and God bless those who served.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping me and my family safe and free.
All gave some and some gave all....I just wish everybody appreciated it as much as I do.
Thank you all very, very much.

Re: Just had a .204 "failure"
That does sound like a bad deal. Hard to judge not knowing where the second shot hit. I would, however, never want to hit a coyote in the hip with a Vmax. I promise I'm not trying to tear ya up here but......it does sound like shot placement was the problem. I don't like to see any animal suffer but...

Re: Broke in the new Ruger Hawkeye .204
That's a way dang impressive outing!!! I have a bunch of questions for ya though. Where'd ya get into so many? I'm Utahn too so I'm not asking for your hotspot, just wondering what area. A county would be close enough. I think that's a FoxPro? FX3 or FX5? What time of day? Hows that Hawkeye on paper...

Q's for our "Coyote Gods"
Sorry I couldn't resist. I think I may have found one of those rare "Honey Hole" kind of spots for coyotes and now I need advice on how to handle it. Last weekend a friend and I were out at a spot that I have seen a lot of sign. I know they are there just not when or how often. Coming into...
