Ditto the CCI 450s with H4895 and 39BKs. Also with Rl 10x but not as much. Exactly what size groups were you expecting from a factory Remmy?

Re: Savage on Gun Control

I don't listen to Savage much because he's got kind of a lunatic air to him but, as usual, he has a way of stating the obvious so well you wonder why ohters just don't get it.

Re: How far out for bronze brush ?!!

Rick you rock, I would love to test out the new Hoppe's stuff. Or am I wrong in assuming that you are there with the Hoppe's folks, giving input and critiques and what not. Who makes CR-10 and is it safe for an AR? I know Wipe-out says "not to be used on gas operated semi-auto weapons". I...

Re: carry-gun

Bones, Everybody is right about not skimping on your carry weapon as it is probably the only weapon that your life may depend on some day. Having said that, I know where you are coming from as when I bought mine $1100+ for the Kimber or Springfield that I really wanted was just not an option. http:/...

Re: Hostility towards the 204

After all some people drive green vehicles and Dodge is still selling trucks which proves: there is no accounting for taste.

Re: Have you noticed this too?

Same right here! I have been stuck in "prison". I had to take a super crappy deal working out of town because I'm stuck at my super crappy job until the refi on my house is complete. (for some strange reason nobody wants to lend you money right after you quit your job) So I have only been ...

Most definitely. Although I don't expect much of a finish and I'm going to preemptively blame it on my trigger. I just hate that thing. I know my gun/ammo is capable of some very nice groups but I have to get really lucky to get five really great trigger pulls, let alone 15! I probably shouldnt spen...

Ya buddy! NOW there are getting to be several AR shooters around here. Welcome aboard. Mine really likes 39BKs with H4895 ans CCI 450s. I got a question for you though richnmib or anyone else with the DPMS. Did you find in working up your loads that they are not accurate at all until you get up clos...

Horray for Skipper! You are one smart dude. I never would have thought of all that. But it is so simple once somebody else comes up with it! It is great to have some of the great minds around here to go to.

I just wanted to add two more cents on the factory vs. custom ammo debate. But I must say I will be happy with whatever Waldo decides. I think there has to be some disstinction to help out those who don't "roll their own". I do reload so I think I'm being impartial by saying so. I think wha...

Wow I guess I'll take a clean miss on those mags! I just really like the stainless/chrome look. I've never seen one that wasn't black or grey powder colored.
6 rounds in the chamber at once sounds like a BAD thing, hahahahaha.

Badger can soak up a HMR??? There's not a surprise. No seriously though I wouldnt expect one to go down with any less than a .204/.223 class caliber. Hey Verminator, what kind of mag is that and where'd you get it? I think that may be just the ticket to make my HDR truely purdy.

Wow am I late to this party!? I don't want to stir up any Shiite, but what about a semi-auto or, HDR catergory? I know I can't hang with those LRPVs for group size but some of us would like braggin rights for tightest Black Rifle. My .02---> Honor System, OBVIOUSLY!, Factory ammo vs. Handloads, ther...
