Re: Nosler 40 gr Ballistic tips

Hi Rogman - I tried the Hornady vmax 40gn factory ammo when i first started with my sako 204 VLS (1:12) and couldnt get a decent group - now predominantly use handloaded 39 gn blitzkings over 2206H and get really small groups and excellent performance on foxes and roos(under permit)- happy to take h...

Re: Summer of 2021 Challenge Winners Circle

Great shootin again Bill K, and fantastic placegetter groups from JWSmith1959 and Hozz57. Unfortunately I didnt get my target in time to shoot it and get it back from downunder - it finally turned up in the last week of September just before I headed out bush for 10 days - probably due to covid slow...

Re: *Attention Members* Summer of 2021 Five Shot Challenge

good work skipper and others - look forward to the target - meanwhile time to load up some special shells and get them sorted into batches based on OAL - and get some more practice tonight on the foxes! Lamb prices have gone skyhigh lately and every fox shot is well worth it for that as well as the ...

Re: five on a Dime shoot ??

Hi Bill K and others - I had a go at the last comp and would love to try again now that I have tuned up myself a bit on the 204( its me not the rifle!) would be good to see some others from down under and other countries have a go. There was no issue with getting the target mailed to south Australia...

Re: Range Report - Sako 85 Varmint Stainless

Hi Dogbrain - I too have the Sako 85 VLS and it is a heck of a rifle with great accuracy for an off the shelf rifle - Mine is topped with a Zeiss Z6 2-12x50 with an illuinated reticle which gets a lot of use spotlighting for foxes - great rifle and scope and happy to pay the $$ for good gear that wi...

Re: G'Day from Australia

Hi Shane - fellow Aus member from Adelaide hills south of Adelaide - I have a Sako VLS in 204 with Zeiss scope which I now use for foxes/hares and Kangaroo destruction under permit - it is now permissable to use a 204 under the COP for macropods in SA. This is a great calibre/cartridge and one shot ...

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News

I finally found a break today to have a go at the target - nice calm conditions but I was in a bit of a rush and shot the 15 straight up with no practice and corrected point of aim after first and second bull - shot bottom left target then bottom right and finished on centre target with a flier outs...
