Range Brass

I picked up some nickel plated .30 '06 brass at the range (Fuzzy told me not to do it).
Very nice looking stuff, so I decided to full length size, trim, and reload. Now I am getting ready to order a new cutter for my wilson trimmer. I wish I had known that this would happen.

Re: Ws2 test

Lee , I know what you mean about cleaning your rifle after each firing. I have done a couple of tests with the WS2 but I haven't shot more than 50 at a session so I don't know how they'll perform past that. I cleaned my rifle mainly because it is not stainless. I have heard that molly can trap mois...

Re: Hal's .204

Sorry Glen, I didn't have a camera at the range. It has the HS pricision stock, blued action, stainless barrel and the break.
BTW did you notice the size of the group. ;)

Hal's .204

Since I've been shooting at the local range (about 2years now) I have managed to make some new friends. Hal is one of those guys that just gets along with everybody. He is also a pretty good amateur gunsmith, seems like he's always putting a new rifle together or fitting a muzzle break etc... Anyway...

Both targets shot at 100 yards 12-11-2007 was 11 degrees out and yesterday was around 23 degrees out

BRRRRR How much do you allow for the "Shivver Factor" when you're measuring those groups.

Re: I found my Christmas Gift!!!!

WOW  With 6 days left of bidding I wonder how high the package will go for. Just how many Savage rifles could you get for that price tag :chin:

It would be nice to take a tour but if I'm gonna cough up 2K plus it had better be a Panda action and Shillen barrel. :D

Re: Bullet stuck in barrel

I have seen this done with a pistol... TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK . Out shooting with some friends that have a ton more knowledge than I do about all things that are guns, one of there handguns got a bullet stuck in the barrel and they took the bullet out of another loaded round, put kleenex tissue in th...

Twist rate on the LRPV

I was looking on the Savage arms site and read where they say the LRPV in .204 Ruger is made with a 7in twist rate. Is this a typo or are you savage guys now shooting them 45 and 50 grainers accurately?

Barrel burnout

I've been a member on the .20forum for about a year and I gotta say that it has been a great year! I have learned a ton and still I know that I'm only scratching the surface when it comes to shooting sports. :duh: Thanks to all here who are willing to share their knowlage and experience. :D At prese...

Re: Some kind of friend

I almost had Fuzzy talked into a to-Oh-IV but I guess we'll have to wait until another Savage barrel comes on the market. He was close to buying that last one that popped up on the swapmeet pages, but it got bought before he talked himself into it. I'll buy a Savage when I can get enough cash ...

Re: Some kind of friend

I'm still trying to talk fuzzy into a .204 Ruger. He overheared Walt Berger say that he wasn't crazy about the .204 Ruger case. Of course he had to go and trick out that savage of his to be able to out-shoot my "Remchesters" as he most kindly refers to my rifles. In all honesty I got...

Re: Broken Loaded Chamber Indicator

I took my MKIII up to the Ruger plant in Precott AZ to have it looked at on friday Nov. 02. It would have been cheaper to send it to them but I enjoyed the drive up. A very nice lady named Colleen came out and took my gun and information and said she'd call me. I never got a call but I did get the p...

Re: Some kind of friend

Fuzzy,
I gotta say that 6mmBR shoots purty good for a SAVAGE. (we won't mention that custom PACNOR barrel and custom stock)

It was a great day at the range, perfect weather and no machineguns.
