P-dogs in Colorado

I' m taking an impromptu trip to Colorado next week so I figured I take my rifles for some fun on the praire. Just wondering if there are any folks from CO that would mind helping find a good location for shooting those self erecting biodegradable targets  .
Please PM me with any info.
Thanks

Danish Remmy

I am selling this old "Danish Remington" Rolling Block rifle in order to fund a new rifle build. It fires a 11.7X51R cartridge which is similar to a .45-70 Gvmt. I got this rifle from my grandfathers estate about 20 years ago but I have never fired it. I am offering it here on the 204um fi...

Re: **COYOTE POSTAL SHOOT SIGNUP**

Cracker, I received my tagets last week but I got 2 of them. One has smaller targets and they dont fill the paper as much as the bigger set of pictures does. Which one is the real target :chin: :?: :chin: Old Turtle, I have an old moving blanket that I use for my shooting sticks at the range. It's o...

Re: Savage Mako .204

Welcome to the .204um Chief . I'm sure you'll find some great info in this forum along with some really good folks with a ton of experience in all areas of shooting sports. I have 2 .204s: a Rem XR100 and a Savage FV I have had the best results using the Sierra 39gr BK with almost every powder I've ...

Re: Murphy's law

Hawkeye Joe , I wish it was something as easy as cleaning. I ususally take 2 days to clean my rifles: patch out with Butches bore shine, scrub with Butche's and bronze brush and then Wipe-out until there's no hint of blue. I'm leaning towards the crown having a problem. Although I still can't belie...

Re: Murphy's law

Thanks for the responses guys! I am shooting 39gr sierra BKs, mainly because they have shot so well out of my Remmy XR100. I have about 400 rounds through the Savage now. I wish I would have known about this sooner. So does anyone know why this phenomenon happens? I guess I'll try some bergers...

Murphy's law

Why oh why did murphy have to strike on the day I decided to shoot my Postal shoot targets? ? I would post pictures but I was too disgusted to take any. :eew: My Savage model 12FV single shot was shooting groups that averaged .4 inches the week before and I figured it would easily out-shoot my...

Re: How to improve my groups

I was going to use ACLOCO's Savage tupperware stock modification but then my buddy offered to give me that BVSS stock for free. I might go ahead and do the mod on the tupperware stock and have it ready to go for a predator rifle build (in .204 Ruger of course) that I have been planning. That's one o...

How to improve my groups

These are some groups I shot with my Savage model 12 FV before restocking. (Tupperware stock) http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r175/hozz57/newgunpix.jpg My buddy gave me a "Take-off" stock from a BVSS that had about a 1/2" cut off the last 10" of the bottom of the forend. I fil...
