Re: turret or single stage
My top is 30 inches wide x 12 inches deep, with a 6x8 inch 'ear' on the right where the trimmer stuff is. It's easier to just tell ya, than clean it off and take a pic........

Re: turret or single stage
acloco, The stand is an old truckstop cafe, steel table base, the top is a piece of 1/4 steel, covered with 1/2 inch rubber. It weighs maybe a little over 100 lbs. I know it is easier to set it in the back of a dodge dakota, than it is to lift it all the way up to the tailgate of a '99 ford superdut...

Re: turret or single stage
acloco, No big story..... Just a baseball shot with a .204, 40 gr. vmax by one of my boys. We took a bunch of different balls out to shoot, from golf balls to basketballs. I liked that one best......... A deflated basketball just wouldn't look right perched there :D My setup is portable, left over f...

Re: It's officially coyote season again.
bullfrog, That rifle looks great :D ....... I am finally swamped with work, and have only been out once. No dogs, too warm. Did find a busted spearpoint, tho. I'll go back when it's a little colder and try to get serious about hunting. Hard for me to call when arrowheads are on the brain........ A l...
Re: Twin 17's
Good deal. If you bed them, do you think you can get rid of the donuts? I don't think the digi-paint will stick to 'em, and they may be hard to slide over the paint . Don

Re: I just found it. Winchester model 62A
ft, Great deal! Like you, my first repeater that I got to shoot was a 62-a. My dad bought it when he was in the navy at the px in Guantanamo bay, 1951. Gave it to me on my 12th birthday. It has had a bunch of lead thru it since........... http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/huntsman22/guns/HPIM33...

Re: My homemade rifle rest
Bob, The scope mount is just a quick grip clamp that was cut to length, a bolt welded on to accept a ball-mount from a broken spotter window mount. The clamp does double-duty by holding the bench legs in the stored configuration. here's a pic...... http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/huntsman22/g...

Re: My homemade rifle rest
outlaws, I used a floor flange for threaded pipe for my wheel. Fit perfect, all I had to do was drill and tap for set screws. I also put a sleeved bolt thru it as a quick turn handle. I find it is easier to just grab the wheel with my fingers than use the spinner. One other thing I done was to screw...
