Re: Is all the Copper rerally out
Fourth, not getting all the residue out of barrel, just cleaning till bore is shiny, you can bet grooves have something left in them that acts like a file when you shoot next time after cleaning

Re: Building a rifle
I built my 22-250 from a stevens 200 action. New faster twist barrel, boyds thumbhole stock.its lot more accurate than i dreamed. Sure i sell it might get $500 but im very happy with it.shoots those itty bitty groups way out there.

Re: Grizzly with a .204
Wild or feral hogs,i watched them shot at with .223 and it just makes them mad.i use my H&R Buffalo classic in 45/70 on them.505 grain slug cracks those thick hard skulls. A hog farmer 3 miles from me had a mad employee who let 3 pregnant sows loos and a boar.in 2 years they wreaked havvoc.sever...

Re: Downsides to the 204 for coyotes
I used to shoot yotes with my 22-250, shoulders are getting where recoil is hurting more as i age.
Went to .204 r and im content with less recoil and great accuracy. On my rifles 35 grain bergers are fine on yotes when powderd with cfe 223 or 8208xbr.

Re: Hornady neck sizing die returned
I run my casings through a primer removal die then put the casings in my cleaner.i dont use the primer stud on neck sizing. I want my brass clean before i size, but thats me. Knock primers out tumble inspect for cracks and damage clean primer pockets then neck size. But never heard that about letting...

They shipped it well packaged.the spindle was retracted into the body so it didnt get bumped in transit. I wish now i got rcbs neck size...

Re: Question about age of my single 6?
3 screws were made from mid 50's till 73 with several changes. Rare is 4.5" and 7.5" barrel. But all indications show my single six stamped revolver has a super single six serial number

Re: Question about age of my single 6?
Thank you Rick,i looked. Guess i need to join . I read all the old 3 screw single six posts, not a 1 close to my numbers. Wishful thinking migh be a rare 1 haha . Chances of that, slim to none. But shoots ruger unconverted nice and locks tight. Small bit of blue wear at muzzle end from holster. Id say...
