Flat base for handguard

Does anyone know of a wide base attachment/accessory for the bottom of the handguard? It would be mounted to the bottom picatinny rail for a wider platform when shooting off a rest or bags. Mine is only about 3/4" wide and I'd like to get something wider for a more stable rest. Something on the...

Re: TC Venture Predator model

I can't help you out with the TC but I have a Tikka T3 Hunter that shoots very well. It was a toss-up which gun to use for the 5 shot challenge but I went with my AR because outside temps were 90+ and heading into the 100's on the day I had to shoot. My Tikka barrel heats up pretty quick and I didn'...

Re: Pics of .204 AR's

I finished my AR earlier this Spring so I could use it for ground squirrels. It was my first ground-up full build and couldn't have done it without the help from this forum. My biggest challenge was making this Ca. legal without all the evil features. Anderson lower Geissele G2S trigger Shilen 24&qu...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

Yes Bill-that's the evil AR. Actually, I removed all the evil features so now it's just another semi-auto with an ugly stock. 24" Shilen stainless bull barrel, Geissele G2S trigger (wish it had a lighter secondary break), Anderson Lower and upper and an adjustable gas block. I see the target th...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

I mailed my target in today-not my best group but it is what it is. I think it's about .790. Hope the photo shows up.

Re: New to the 204 world, happy with my first one so far!

Thanks Bill. I'll give the Noslers a try next time I order bullets. I use a small base die for the 223 but haven't had a problem with my regular size 204 die so far. I'll try to post a couple photos of this mornings target using the 26 gr. Barnes. I thought I was ready to shoot my 5 shot challenge t...

Re: New to the 204 world, happy with my first one so far!

I have the same barrel on the AR I built this year. I'm in California so my stock is quite a bit different but I won't have to register it as an assault rifle. I've experimented with probably 20 different combinations of bullet/powder but keep going back to 28.5 gr. of BL-C(2) and 32 gr. Hornady Zma...

Re: 2017 204 Ruger Five Shot Challenge

There was a question a few posts back about those of us with multiple 204s. I have 2 and am also wondering if I have to choose which rifle to use or if I can shoot a target with each? Not trying to make this any more challenging than it is. Thanks, Randy.

Re: electronic powder scales

Thanks for all the help on this. I thought is was just this little cheap electric scale that was drifting around a bit. I know the pan from the RCBS beam scale weighs in at 142.4 grains. I hit the tare button and get a 00.0 reading but after loading powder in 10 or so rounds I notice it could be any...

electronic powder scales

I've been using my RCBS 5-10 beam scale for many years and have always thought they were the way to go vrs. electronic scales. Now I'm starting to doubt myself since I got a crhonograph and have been seeing as much as 200 fps variances in the same load. I realize there are more than one stages of th...

Re: Skippy Flies via 32gr Motivation

Thanks Bill. Maybe someone will have a way to post photos and will let me in on the secret. Meanwhile, I'll be at Eagle Lake this coming weekend and hope to get out and see if any squeekers are still out there. Randy.
