Re: Check your supply

That would've been 67 & 68. 8th grade for me.
I'm trying to find a site that has the official word on the new restrictions. If I find one I'll post it for others. There are a lot of rumors floating around out there. Randy.

Re: Check your supply

Don't let my wife hear you say that. It's been my excuse here lately. Varmint Shooter-I see you're in Janesville, I went to Johnstonville Elementery for 8th grade when 6, 7, & 8th were in the same classroom.

Re: Best .204 brass

I have 300 rounds of Norma brass and around 400 of Hornaday and haven't had a failure in either. Some, mostly the Norma have been loaded 4 or five times and have to be full length sized each time. Most of my loads are up near max as well.

Re: Is all the Copper rerally out

Maybe I'm doing this all wrong but even after soaking and scrubbing with Wipe out accelerator and follow up with Wipe out/Patch out, nylon brush, repeat, repeat, I still have some blue on the patches but I'm calling it good after 20 or more patches. I use a brass jag so don't know if that's what I'm ...

Re: Check your supply

Thanks for the heads-up Bill. I've been stocking up for the past couple of months and have been noticing the availability isn't always there as we get closer to 2018. Do you know if this will apply to brass? Randy.

Re: New Upper

The barrel on my AR is a Shilen 24” SS and I couldn’t be happier.

Re: Is all the Copper rerally out

I was cleaning my guns yesterday and have always used wipe-out patch-out. Last year I tried some of their Accelerator first and the first couple of patches come out looking like I dipped them in mud. So far, I've run 13 patches thru and the last 8 or so are the same shade of light blue. So, instead ...

Re: New Upper

I agree, send it back for a refund. Don't think I'd want to shoot a gun with a tight spot in the barrel. I'm not sure if the gas port hole is bigger on my .204 barrel or not but a quick call to Shilen who makes barrels should get you an answer. I used a standard size gas tube and my AR cycles just f...

Re: lets talk powder.....

I've used Varget myself but after cleaning up more than a couple of charges from the bench and having to crunch thru powder (an Oxymoron) in my powder measure, I tend to go with the smaller grained stuff. Although I got very good results from 4198 (also a stick type) I keep going back to CFE223 beca...

Re: lets talk powder.....

I've been going back and forth with CFE223 and BL-C (2) mostly due to availability and have had good luck with both. I've also used some 4198 and just got some Reloader-15 to try out. I've found that my Tikka likes some powders at the lower charges and some at higher or max charges. It's time for me...

Re: Dies and brass

Just as everyone has their own favorite load that shoots good in their rifle, I think we all have our favorite reloading equip. that we are use to using. I have a Redding full length sizer die and an RCBS seater die. I also have the RCBS neck sizer die for my bolt action gun but have to full length ...

Re: Flat base for handguard

Thanks Bill, that might work just as well or even better so I don't have to remove the bipod mount. I made my own bags out of some old lead shot bags and filled them with dry kidney beans. They're pretty light weight and seem to support the gun really well. I've been shooting off of a Caldwell Matri...

Re: Flat base for handguard

Thanks, that's pretty close to what I'm looking for and after checking out the website they have them for picatinny rails also. They also have the rear platform for the stock but here in Ca. I have to use a different type stock. I used a bi-pod on the front for the 5 shot challenge but still get a l...
