Re: .20 vartarg

I'm also interested in the VT but don't know where to go to get started. Are there any books out there that take you through the process? Currently thinking of a 700 Rem action and a Shilen barrel. I don't really want to buy one all set up and ready to go-would rather drive my self crazy and build o...

Re: How much neck tension you guys running?

I just happened to be loading some 204's this morning and have never checked neck tension. I'm using Norma brass shot once only by me. An unsized round measured .232 at the neck. Full length size with a standard Redding die brought the neck down to .225. The neck sizer part of the die (with the deca...

Re: flash holes

Nope. I got mine from Graf & Son. K&M precision flash hole uniformer for 20 cal. Item KMUP20STD080. $22.59. It’s a small hand held unit. Other reloading/shooting supply places may have it as well

Re: flash holes

I started case prep on 200 new Norma brass and was surprised as how many brass particles I got from just using the flash hole reamer. The small hex shaped handle on the K&M will tire your hand quickly but as stated above a cordless drill set on low speed works great. I went to RCBS and was told ...

Re: flash holes

I ordered a .20 cal reamer from an online retailer but don't remember which one. It's made by KM Shooting. It was spendy but works great. Randy.

Where did you go to sign up for this discount? I went to the Vortex website but didn't see anything. Thanks, Randy.

Re: It's almost time.......

I've been loaded and ready to roll for a month now. Finally settled in on 29.4 gr. of CFE223, 32 gr. Varmegeddon's, Remington 7-1/2 all seated at 2.255 which is about all I can get squeezed into my AR mags. Although it's not my most accurate load, I can hit 10 for 10 rat sized targets with less reco...

Re: First trip of the Year

I just checked my in box looking for my invitation but it's not there. Maybe next time. My son and I are planning our first trip later this month if the weather holds out. Looking forward to your report. Randy

Re: titegroup mixed in BL-C(2)

That's a head slapper for sure but $30 worth of powder vrs the potential damage to yourself or firearm makes it an easy decision. Not to mention, it may me at the table next to you at the range. Let's go shoot again-I have a couple more load combinations to try out and I've re-borrowed the chrony fr...

Re: slowing down a 32gr vmax

I may be way off base with this as I don't have any experience with it yet but I've read about the Barne's Varmint Grenades being fur friendly. It's a non-lead frangible copper bullet that's suppose to come apart upon entrance. I have several hundred in stock in preparation for Commiefornia's ban on...

Re: New Upper

My .204 also has an AA lower and upper. I put in a Geissele G2S trigger but have the Vortex Viper scope. Don't know if you put an adjustable gas block on or not but I really like mine. It's adjusted so there's just enough gas to lock the bolt back after the last shot. It shoots great! Randy.

Re: Cfe 223

I've also found that 29.4 grains of 223 behind 32 gr. Varmageddon's is one of most accurate loads. I have records showing a 10 shot average of 3641 fps and all 10 shots were within the size of a squeek. Close enough for me and what I do. Randy.

Re: Cabela,s Flyer

Thanks VS. Bill, please disregard the PM I sent about the flyer. I was shooting with Brooks today and he said the folks at Huntingtons (RCBS) are saying the opposite. I'm going to try and find the official wording and will let you know what I find. Randy.
