Re: CZ 527 Varmint .204 ?’s
Iv got the same gun. Mine likes reloder 10x, h4895, and accurate 2230. Pet load is with sierra 39gr blitz king. 24.8gr of reloder 10x, cci br4 primer, and oal of 2.300" which just fits in the magazine, chrono around 3825-3850. 32gr blitz kings, over i believe off top my head 26.0gr 10x is a sho...

Re: slowing down a 32gr vmax
Im sure you can slow down the 32vmax but you could have done that with your .223, you are going to lose your laser-like trajectory which is really the only difference between the 204 and 223. I havent shot any yotes with the 35 bergers but thats the bullet everyone says is the best bet for holding t...

Re: Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
Sounds like good advice Bill K. Iv read alot on rimfire central too and guys on there r saying with the hmr you are always chasing your tail because no match ammo is made and the same load that may shoot half moa with no fliers with one lot may not shoot nearly as consistant with the next lot you bu...

Re: Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
So with you guys experience if im getting a flier or two almost every 5shot group, with todays ammumition would your guess be that its the ammo? The gun? Or the nut behind the butt? I shot a couple groups at 60yrds yesterday both were the typical 1" but one of them 4 shots were all one ragged b...

Re: Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
I read that all polymer tipped winchester, federal, cci, and remington are all loaded by cci in Idaho and are exactly the same beside the tip color, the headstamp, and packaging. Iv read good things about the cci with speer bullet i think those will b my next try to see if tgey do any better than th...

I have read that cci makes all the different hmr ammo with each brands components to their specs and puts each brands wrapper on them.

Re: Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
After that first range session of 2" at 100 is when i checked the barrel channel. I had to take quite a bit out of right at the end it was setting on the tip pretty hard. But it is floated now and the trigger is wonderful. Its the 453 model with single set trigger just like the 527 centerfires....

Re: Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
I did just look in my box the 453 came in and looked at the test target they shot at the factory. Looks just like one of my groups.....3 touching and two close to an inch away. They shot at 50meters. So i guess what iv been shooting is acceptible to them.

Re: Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
Maybe i got a dud. I paid a premium to find a 453 new in box for the single set trigger. Im hoping it will like a different ammo better than the two hornadys iv tried. Havent found any around here yet. Im shooting prone off bipod and sand bags rear. Its a solid set up.

Acceptible .17hmr accuracy??
Just wondering what you guys opinions are on what is accepitble accuracy out of a stock .17hmr? I just bought a new in box cz 453 in .17, i have a 527 varmint in .204 and am impressed with its accuracy. I decided to sell my savage 93 stainless heavy barrel .17hmr to my brother and get the 453. I put...
