Re: Night time Yotes
Hawkeye; What brand is that new light and where did you get it?
Re: 17Hummer
Thanks fellas. I have less than 50 rounds through the rifle and I have only tried the 20 grain CCI game points. I would not have expected a rimfire to be that choosey about ammunition but the concensus on other forums is that the 17 grain bullets are more accurate. I am going to have to get some. Li...
17Hummer
Anyone on this forum have a CZ 452 in 17HMR? If so, did it shoot well out of the box or did you have to tinker with it a bit. I just bought one but if I could not read the calibre stamped on the receiver I would think that it was a shotgun. I am getting 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards which seems to be ...

Still Too Much Bullet.
I have had a fox hanging around for the past month but I have been holding off until the fur primed up a bit. I finally couldn't take it any more. I had a chance the other day for a shot but all I had sighted in were 35 grain Bergers and I figured they would do too much damage. So I loaded up a mode...

Re: My first double
Excellent shooting Melvin. Did you get an exit hole with either of those bullets?

Re: Night time Yotes
Hawkeye; I bought an Optronics 6 volt light when I was having trouble with a coyote trying to get into the chicken coop at night. The plastic clamp that holds the light on the scope is moulded at the wrong angle and when mounted, the light would shine on the ground about 60 yards out which was short...

Re: ws2 test
Lee; Glad to hear that the WS-2 is making a difference. I just bought a couple of ounces from Waldo and am waiting for it to show up in the mail so I can try it on some Berger 35 grainers. I am getting tired of cleaning copper fouling out of the Savage Model 12. About 15 - 20 rounds down the barrel ...

Re: New addition to the arsenal: CZ527 American
I bought a left hand CZ 527 in 17HMR at a gun show over the weekend. The guy also had the same rifle with a very nicely figured walnut stock in 22 rim fire. CZ seems to have a good line of left hand rifles in small calibres.

Re: MY Postal Shoot - in the 3's!
I have had similar problems with my Savage Model 12, 204. One day the gun would shoot like a hot da** and the next it would be shooting somewhere else. I did not have any keyholing but the POI would change and the groups would open up. jo191145 suggested that it might be due to copper fouling. I was...

Re: Montana, Idaho and Utah Guys
Thanks to all for the tips. My friend left this past Monday morning with a list of all the big outlets along his route to Salt Lake City. He will be visiting the Cabelas store south of SLC and hopefully his son who lives there will know of these other sporting goods stores suggested by Rdd. Hopefull...

Calhoon 20 Calibre Bullets
Has anyone tried either the 33 or 39 grain double hollow point Calhoon bullets on coyotes? If you did, what was the fur damage like?

What are the good sources for Berger bullets in these states? I have a friend who is making a trip down to Salt Lake City in two weeks and the dollar is at par finally. Yeeehaw!

Re: Another first!
Man, you guys are killing me with these great coyote stories :eew: ! I have had a couple in the field lately but the pelts just aren't good enough here to shoot them yet. That 39 grain Sierra bullet is looking better all the time for coyotes. I may just have to give them a try this winter. Nice shoo...

Re: Clean / Dirty Powders...
Are you guys using AA2230-C in the 204? And where did you get the WS2 from? I have not seen any in the gun shops I frequent.
