Re: Monthly Shootout: January 2018 - Winter Wonderland
I would love to go out and shoot - but it has been brutally cold around here. A bit too early. The last week has constant seen around -15F on most nights. Today was nice when we hit 30. No range time this month I think... but who knows. Strange things happen.

Monthly Shootout: January 2018 - Winter Wonderland
FIRST RULE: NO RULES! - yeah, this is totally fun. And let us keep it that way. No prizes. No trophies - not even the participation kind. So there. Let us be clear. Shoot as many targets as you like, as many shots as you like. 100, 200 yard or more with a .204 Ruger. 25 and 50 yard with any rimfire...

Re: Monthly Shootout: December 2017 - Let the snow fly!
Good luck!
I have this weekend to try and fill my last deer tag for the year. Muzzleloader. After that a short break, and then off to hunt some coyotes.

Re: Monthly Shootout: November 2017 - Deer Hunter!
OK! A new month is here. And the results from NOvember - not many shooters. I suspect with family time and travel, this was to be expected. Thanks to 53Eldorado for at least giving us something! Nice shooting! 100 Yards Spread. .547 To center. .719 Total 1.266 Ruger American Predator Mueller 8.5-25x...

Re: TC Venture Predator model
I have a T/C Venture in .204. Regular model, which is suspect is the same action and a barrel as the Predator model. Just a different stock and finish. I do not currently reload, but with the 40gr V-Max Hornady pills, the rifle is a shooter even in my hands. I can have rounds touching at 200 yards. ...

Re: Monthly Shootout: November 2017 - Deer Hunter!
What part of MN? I spent my first 22 years there. Did most of my deer hunting around Cass Lake and a little around Mahtowa. Hey! I just logged in and saw your message. I currently live in West Central, MN. Detroit Lakes to be specific. I hunt just north east of here around the Pickerel/Cotton Lake ...

Re: Monthly Shootout: November 2017 - Deer Hunter!
Nice shooting, 53Eldorado.
I've been out deer hunting in the woods of MN. Only 2 tags this year - between the wife and I - and I managed to fill one. Nice size doe. Muzzleloader starts on Saturday, and hoping to get a buck (or a doe) and fill my tag.
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

Re: Monthly Shootout: October 2017 GET TO DA RANGE!
I realize this monthly shoot is for fun, but there really needs to be some continuity. i.e. five shots, 100 yards, 204R, and five shots at say 50 yards for rim fire. As it is we have 25 and 50 yrd rim fire popping up. and centerfire with less than five, etc. How can this be judged sort of equally, ...

Re: Monthly Shootout: October 2017 GET TO DA RANGE!
Hello! I am still here. Good to see that the threads have some good targets. I've been busy with work and family - no time for much. My mother-in-law finished her first round of chemo! Only 5 more to go. I had some downtime this weekend, so I went out to practice the self defense handgun shooting. T...

Monthly Shootout: October 2017 GET TO DA RANGE!
http://media2.giphy.com/media/13iKFDgHJiG9kk/giphy.gif OK! We had some good entries in the first one. Scoring - I'll admit I've not tallied them up yet - but seems like we have some work to do.
