Re: Loading for cz 527 in 204 ruger
Welcome to the site, don't go on line much but check once in a while. You'll love the little CZ527. I have 5 of them and all are shooters. My little 204 Ruger likes the H335 powder the best on your list. I shoot 39 gr Blitz Kings with 26.8 grains of H335. May be a max load in some guns so I'd start ...

Re: Larger than expected ES's
I'm with Bill K., I shoot a 204 Ruger in Cooper Phoenix also and I shoot 27.5 grains 8208 XBR but get well under .430 groups consistently and many 5 shot groups .315 or less. I see 40/50 FPS extreme spreads but am happy with the accuracy. I've found that unless I'm shooting 900-1000 yards I'm really...

Re: .204 on deer where legal .....
Rick's definitely right, I proved it to myself. I was on the ranch and came across a sika doe with a broken leg and in bad shape. I only had the 204 in the truck to put her down. I was able to get within 50 yards and shot her in the neck thought it would drop her. Was very disappointed and found it ...

Re: cutting back my 26inch barrel
You might want to spend a little effort researching the length. I have read that extensive tests have been done and found that 22" is the ideal length for the 204. I have three 204's one 22, one 24 and a 26 and it seems there may be some truth to the statement.
