I fiddled around with the berger online twist rate calc. and according to it the 35 grain bergers will only marginally stabilize in 1-12 twist. I called berger tech support (the guys name is Phill) and he spoke to their ballistics specialist and said that the online twist calc. is for bullets that h...

H4895 25.7 grains (approx 3450 fps)
CCI BR-4 or Winchester small rifle Primers
Cartridge oal 2.260 (made to fit in tikka t3 Magazine
0.6" groups at 200 yards.
Deadly on coyotes with minimal fur damage if any.

Get the tikka t3 in any form and you wont be disappointed. Very accurate, very comfortable, very good value. Thanks TEJAS JD i really like the bdc in the viper, i have the 1" tube on mine so its not the best viper out there but for $500 its a lot of scope for the price also really like the easily resettable turrets. certainly wouldnt mind a bit more zoom, not for coyotes but for ground squirrels at 25...

Hi guys my first post here; I run a 4-12X40 Vortex viper with the MOA BDC reticle. the bdc is set up pretty good for a 204 blasting 40 grainers at around 3400-3500 the bullet drop lines are: 1.5 moa ---275 yds 4.5 moa ---400 yds 7.5 moa and 475 yds 11 moa 575-600 yds yds as sighted in at 200 yds
