Re: Need help deciding on which powder to use?
Benchmark is working for me, and Winchester primers are shooting right in line with Fed match (in my guns).

Thanks.......
to Rick and Brian, finally made it back on line and to the forum. Computer crashed days ago, and have been "lost" without the Ruger .204 forum. Thanks again.

Re: Don't go to breakfast with Rick in Oregon....
I've only been in contact with Rick via the internet, and it has still cost me money! I have TWO Cooper rifles, in .204, several Leupold scopes, and thousands in precision reloading materials and tools. Money well spent, I might add. But......when you want to get info and opinions, nothing better th...

Re: Leupold spotting scopes.......??
No, just wanted the spotting scope for range work. I have a set of Swarovski EL binos for use in the pd fields. I'll look into the Kowa optics. Thanks...

Leupold spotting scopes.......??
I saw a Sequoia 15x45 angled unit at the Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday. Does anyone have any first hand experience with this spotting scope? Looking for a scope to use at the range. At what distances should you be able to see .204 bullet holes? I'm probably expecting too much for longer distances. ...

Re: Cooper model 21 or others?
I followed the guide lines from the Cooper booklet. Make sure you have a good bore guide, and .20 cal rod. I think I used the nylon brushes, but I have since uses both nylon and bronze. Very nice looking rifle!

Re: Cooper model 21 or others?
I bought my first Cooper Varminter in .204 just over 3 years ago. Looks great, shoots great, what's not to like about a Cooper. Liked it so well, I bought a Phoenix in .204, and it is just as accurate, if not more so than the Varminter. Never owned a CZ or Savage, but for now, I'm pretty much sold o...

Re: First Shotgun Dog!!
Good job! I'm also in the process of "developing" a shotgun and loads for coyotes. Care to give us a rundown on your shotgun and type ammo you're using? I have a couple of Remington 870's (20" and 26") bbl's, but I'm leaning toward my Stoeger 2000, mainly because the 2000 is camo...

Re: FOXPRO FX3 Predator Call info
Glen, guess I'm a day late and a dollar short.........both you and my son found these FREE downloads. Might add, after I just bought some from Foxpro. Old well, guess I will download some and see how they work. I did finish downloading the foxpro sounds today, and printed my new lists for the unit a...

Re: FOXPRO FX3 Predator Call info
A couple of friends got their foxpro's from Cabelas, and Sportsmans Warehouse and their calls were loaded with a lot of sounds they can't use. At last count neither ever downloaded additional sounds. Just last night, I got my son to help me buy and download some new sounds for my FX3. It was a piece...

Re: Varmint weight AR's
I "handled" one of those rifles last week at a local gun shop. Really nice, and I couldn't believe the trigger on that gun! Looks like he likes his gun too.

Re: J.Calhoon 20
We used to shoot Calhoon bullets in our .223 guns for pd's. They were VERY accurate in my Tikka varmint, and they would really explode on impact. And if my memory is right, they were cheaper than most of the other varmint bullets at that time. I knew they would shoot in my .223, and buying a box of ...

Re: Need some rimfire help......
RAMOS, safety is definately not a consideration on the cal's for WMA's. The state is scared to let you carry a centerfire outside of deer hunts.....afraid you'll shoot a deer. It's legal to kill coyotes and wild hogs during small game seasons on WMA's, but the state won't permit the use of a suitabl...

Re: Need some rimfire help......
The regulation for sure needs updating. You can't use buckshot on WMA's either! Rick, my original idea was to just carry my turkey gun and turkey loads, cause about all the calling will be in the woods. But........you know an old gun man will never overlook the reason to buy another gun! Maybe I jus...

Need some rimfire help......
on a 17 HMR or 22 mag. I've never owned anything but 22 lr, but looking to buy something to hunt coyotes on our state WMA's. Regs won't allow anything but rimfire or shotguns (or muzzleloader) at the times I want to hunt. There is an outside chance I may get to shoot pd's this year with a rimfire (i...
