Re: Temperature sensative 204 ruger powder Help!

On generally keep my ammo in a shady spot to avoid exposing it to unnecessary heat and any issues that may come from it, I live in Australia and it can get hot here in Summer (I use ADI powders 2206H and 8208 and can't say I've seen any issue re temperature.

Re: Best powder for the .204 Ruger???

ADI 2206H (H4895) goes well in my Howa 204 - 28.1gn behind the 39gn Bk (Over Max) ADI 8208 (IMR 8208 XBR) goes well in my Howa 204 - 29gn behind the 26gn Barnes VG (May be over Max) I've got to say the 204 would have to be one of the easiest to find a load that works along with the 222 and 22.250 - ...

Re: silencer (suppressor) ?

I think I'd rather spend the $900 on another rifle rather than waste it on something to reduce the noise slightly. :chin:

Re: Some Pics from Fox Whistling Down Under

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. What were you shooting that caused the huge exit holes? Are there many foxes there? What are some of your other favorite targets of opportunity? Do you have lots of rabbits? It is prime coyote pelt time in my neighborhood. We have a few foxes and bobcats, they ar...

Some Pics from Fox Whistling Down Under

Some pics of some of the fox whistling action over the last few years - rifles use are 204 Howa, 222, Howa, 22.250 Howa, 223 Ruger and 12g Boito Shotgun. I use the Fox Pro Shockwave and Tenterfield Whistles, Scotch Predator Caller and Styrofoam (I wet it with my tongue and rub it on the window of th...

Acrobatic Mini Paddock Pizza

Well yesterday I decided I'd go for a poke around to see if I could find any "Mini Paddock Pizza's" - a quick phone call saw me on my way, with all the kit packed I was off around 8am for the short 15-20min drive to one of my favourite places to shoot. After a quick chat with the owner I w...

Re: What .204 ruger rifle UK ?

I like my Howa's too, they all shoot well and function flawlessly, never had an issue with any of them and for the $600 I paid for them they represent excellent value, there's a heap of foxes and bunnies etc out there that absolutely hate em, I don't like plastic stocks so all mine are sitting in Bo...
