Re: Help with price for a Cooper please
BTW, I forgot to mention that I bought a Ken Farrell picatinny rail direct from Cooper, $140.00, and installed it on the firearm. Boy Cooper's don't hold their value worth a dang do they, especially with the extras performed by Cooper. At that price Savage or Ruger's hold their value better. Thanks...

Help with price for a Cooper please
Hello. I acquired a Cooper rife a couple years ago from a 70 year old gentleman that has 11 Cooper's. It's a Model 22 in 243 and the reason he traded to me was he had just got in a new 243 AI and didn't need it. I really don't know anything about prices of used Cooper's. I'll tell you what I have a...

Re: Lower parts for 204
Hi unclered, On several I built, I put on a "204 RUGER" dust cover when building and I had the smooth left side of the upper receiver engraved "204 RUGER" then had it color filled. Looks sharp! I had my 17 HMR engraved also and color filled white. I've also got some dedicated La...

Re: Is the 204 Ruger right for me...?
Hey SBS, I'm hooked on the 17hmr, best thing that's happened for me since sliced bread. It's an awesome little round & so fun & quite to shoot. Quite compared to like a 204. Thanks to RIO, I now have a Sako Quad & an Anschutz HB in 17hmr and wouldn't trade them for any center fire althou...

CCI A17 - 17HMR AMMO
Anyboby using this A17 ammo in their bolt action 17HMR's? How does it shoot compared to other HMR ammo? Clean, dirty, ejection, accuracy? Is there any difference in performance on small varmints than the standard ammo? Any comments would be appreciated. I read a couple reviews and it didn't say muc...

Re: Hornaday brass
ctenn, I've had good luck with the newer Hornady brass that comes in the 50 or 100 red heavy boxes, not so with the Hornady brass that came in bags. There is really a difference in the newer brass although all I've used has been 4 different 22 caliber brass and I can't attest to how many reloads yo...

Rick, JP.
Thank ya'll. I just didn't know if you used the screw down bases or bases using the dove tail grooved rail. I figured you didn't use the grooved rail.
I appreciate ya'll,

Re: Scpoe Mounts for Anschutz 1517 Heavy Barrel?
Hi Rick, Kind of hard to tell from the pictures but are those Talley bases used with the drilled & tapped holes and Talley rings on top? You think I can get by with mediums? Those aren't the Talley one piece lightweight base/rings your using are they? Thanks bud & good shooting on your trip...

Scpoe Mounts for Anschutz 1517 Heavy Barrel?
I just got my first Anschutz, a 17HMR model1517 D Heavy Barrel. I know it's over kill but I already have a 30mm 6x24x50 scope I want to put on it because it has a varmint hunter type reticle in it. For you Anschutz owners/shooters, what mount type & what height mount do you recommend? I have hi...

Re: Big bullet drop
I'm not as savvy as some of these shooters are, but I just can't understand how it could be a scope issue if you use the same crosshair on the same target at 100 & 200 without touching the scope, focus or anything. Not familiar with Savage's, but some scope mounts are dedicated for the front &am...
