Hey buddy, thank you. Some is already out because I bought 6-1# jugs last week from Selway Armory for I think it was 23.00 per pound. Thanks for thinking of me,

Re: What bullet for 12 twist 18" barrel
Hi breaststroker. I had a post right before yours & I'm thinking of that same barrel to purchase. Do you know anyone with any experience with the 18" barrel? Who did you have thread the muzzle & were did you purchase your receiver set? Keep in touch & good luck. By the way, My WOA 2...

Re: 18" .204 Ruger barrel questions
Rick, thank you. Dang, that just about turned me off the 18" barrel even though I wouldn't mind having a short 204 truck gun. The muzzle blast is what I don't know if I could handle. Thanks again buddy & good shooting this summer. It was already 92 here today,

Re: 18" .204 Ruger barrel questions
NOT ONE OPINION? This is not a question or discussion about bolt action vs. ar-15. I just simply wanted to know if anybody has had or know of anybody that has had any experience with a short barreled 204 rifle. Thanks,

18" .204 Ruger barrel questions
:?: Hello. I'm wanting to build me another 204 AR and Wilson Combat has the barrel in stock (rarely) but they only make them in 18" length with 1-12 twist. I wouldn't think it would matter whether it was on a bolt gun or an AR. I don't have a problem having a compact .204 since I have other bol...

1st time I've seen it in forever but I bought a bunch of X-terminator last night from Selway Armory at a very good price.

Re: bullet seating question (Lee dies)
kWm, like others have said, forget about OAL & get a comparator so you can measure base to ogive. There is just too much difference in length even using the same bullet. Measuring to the ogive, I had the same results as you using the Lee seater. It all boiled down to neck tension. If I got a doz...

Re: OUTSIDE NECK TURNING?
dsandfort, Ramos, thank ya'll both very much. Sounds kind of hard but I'm a fast learner & my buddy is a master machinist, has his own shop, so he can take care of me on the measurement end. Thanks again,

Re: I shot my new Savage 204 Ruger for the first time
Hi. It's the 39 grain Sierra blitz king they seem to like. My 204's are 1-12 and 1-10 twist and after testing different bullets & powders I settled on 35 grain Berger's for all my 204's & didn't look back. They shoot just great with CFE 223, H335, IMR8208, and mostly VV133. On COL or as I me...

OUTSIDE NECK TURNING?
I'm just learning about turning the outside neck on my brass. In your opinion what is the best, quickest, easiest tool to turn the outside necks and the best tool to measure case thickness? I'm not on a budget so I want to buy the best tool I can get to do a good easy job. I assume the 1st step is n...

Re: Sako vixen 222Rem to 204 Ruger
I hope your Vixen is not a cherry, that would make me cry. IS the 222 a heavy barrel? I don't know about shipping but I'd love to have that Vixen barrel if it's in excellent condition.

Re: ? for Advanced Reloaders
Thank you Mz5. I've read the OCW system several times. Is there anything you do different? Any tips? Wow, Aussie Gun Writer makes tweaking sound like childs play. Thanks,

Re: ? for Advanced Reloaders
Thank all of you. I see a lot about ladder testing Do you seasoned reloaders use that system? What about Dan Newberry's Optimal Charge Weight (OCW) compared to the ladder? Seems like the OCW system would be easier to use if you shoot a system. Normally I just go shoot 3 shot groups when searching fo...
