Dyna-Tek bore coat
Hello. I spent a couple hours this morning reading about a product called Dyna-Tek bore coat, dyna-tek.com. I found it very interesting in that it actually coats the metal & makes bore cleaning a 10 minute job and supposedly for some cleaning only after 100 or more rounds with zero copper fouli...

Re: NEW BARREL BREAK-IN ???
Thanks dsandfort. Yes sir, my 1st center fire Cooper. It has the new HS Precision stock with cooling vents, black with lots of blue webbing, & a 26" 1-14 twist non-fluted heavy barrel. It's a looker. I've already put in a 10 ounce Jard trigger but haven't shot yet. Cooper's recommended bre...

NEW BARREL BREAK-IN ???
Hello all. I'm sure this topic has been discussed & cussed many times before but it's about your opinions on breaking in a new barrel. I just got in my new Cooper M54 HB 22-250 & was just thinking of how I'm going to break the barrel in. I have done the long 1/2 day process & I've also ...

Re: AR FUNCTION QUESTIONS?
I've only got around 100 through it so far but it's a nickel boron bcg & all my AR's I shoot wet, not dripping but well lubed, until broke in. I've done this same thing on all my rifle length gassed rifles without one problem but this is my 1st mid length gassed ar. Well I guess I'll keep shoot...

AR FUNCTION QUESTIONS?
My first question for you AR buffs is about the BCG. In your 204's & 223's do you run the M15 or M16 BCG? Does it make a difference with different length gas tubes, rifle, mid, or carbine? When short cycling occurs what do you try changing out first? This particular barrel has a small gas port ...

Re: Jewell trigger in Cooper rifles
Hi Rick. I don't know anything about the 92 either but on the Cooper website, they say the Back Country's come with a Jewell trigger. That's what made me wonder. Thanks,

Jewell trigger in Cooper rifles
Hello. I didn't know where to put this topic so if it's in the wrong place please move it. I was looking at the Cooper website under "new for 2016" and was reading about the Back Country rifles with a 92 action & a Jewell trigger. Does anyone know about this action and will a Jewell th...

Re: New 17HMR Upper
Hi Gary, Yes I finally did, 5 different ones. The best groups came with the 17 gr. Remington ammo & I managed some 1/2 to 3/4 moa groups at 100 yards, again not bad for an old timer. Hornady 17 gr. shot well also. Hornady 20 gr. XTP gave me 1"+ but that's the bullet I'd choose to shoot anyt...

Re: CZ is in the house!
kWm, what do you shoot in yours? I bought some 34 gr Dogtowns to try with BL-C(2) and have some 32 gr Noslers to try with RL10. Need to get out and break it in and start having some fun. Kind of afraid to take it to far from the bench though. RL10 should work but if you have it, X-terminator or Acc...

Re: CZ is in the house!
inKY, If I was at the range with you & you walked away for too long, I'm afraid when you returned you would just find a barreled action to take back with you. Beautiful wood for an out of the box rifle. If you're worried about scratching it or something, send it to me and I'll send you a plain ...

Re: Difficulty With Reduced Loads
I've just got to ask. Why not shoot at 3500- 3800 but use a bullet that will make a small entry but no exit? To me that makes more sense than a reduced load & a lot less trouble. Just asking.......

I'll let you guess where my a** will be when its -25F, it won't be worrying about my group size.
