? for Advanced Reloaders
I consider myself a novice reloader of 4-5 years that has taught myself everything I know by reading & doing. Never had anyone else around that reloads to teach or show me. I hope you don't consider my question stupid but here goes. Assuming you have a good quality rifle & barrel capable of ...

Re: Light weight barrel 204
Hotshot, BHW makes some very good barrels, most with 3 groove polygonal rifling. Before they started making their own, Black Rain used BHW barrels on all their high dollar AR'S. I have 2 of the Black Rain BHW barrels & they are awesome. Good luck to you buddy,

Re: Light weight barrel 204
Hey Hotshot, how did you come by the 18" WOA barrel in 204? Did you have John make it? What are the specs & how much? I know Wilson offers a 18" 204 barrel but never seen a WOA. Thanks for letting me know,

A-MAX BULLET FOR HUNTING?
Hello. My question is has anyone had any experience using the 52 grain A-MAX bullet in 22 caliber for hunting small game up to coyote size? I can't seem to find much about it for hunting. I was bored so I ordered 2 boxes & loaded some for my VSSF I/Sendero in 220 Swift. First 3 shots I thought 2...

Re: Just got my first 204 Ruger
gundogblue: A great starting point for me with three different 204's has been a 35 grain Berger match/varmint in front of CFE 223, H322, or IMR 8208 XBR. 2 of them like it near max charge. The 35 is very accurate for me, and I'm darn picky, plus they will hold together on larger animals much better ...

Re: Just got my first 204 Ruger
The 35 grain Berger bullets are really good but they are flat base not boat tail (BT). That's about all I load anymore is the 35's.

STOCK BEDDING QUESTIONS?
Hi. I would like to find some internet information on learning to bed a rifle stock. I know nothing about it. What are some good links to read or places to search? I have no one in my area that knows anything about it either. One question before I dive off the deep end. If I have quality guns, good ...

Re: Scope for .204!
futuretrades: I hope your correct about Leupold being made in the USA. I've read several articles that say Leupold is now getting their glass from China have some parts made outside the US. I just bought a Leupold 8.5x25x50 LR VHR for around 900.00 and it came with a large Leupold window sticker tha...

Re: 204 Ruger cleaning equipment
Let me clarify myself. I has just telling of another brand of slotted tip. I don't use a slotted tip except I use a Hoppes 22 caliber plastic slotted to clean my chamber & throat area only. For my patches I use the Montana X-treme brass pointed jag.

Re: Barrel Cleaning
Assuming the barrel is broken in, and I'm not going to get in that hunt, I usually semi clean every 50 rounds or so. While changing between several different rifles to let barrels cool, for each rifle after about 50 rounds I run 2 wet patches of Butch's & let set while shooting another rifle. Wh...
