CZ 527 feeding issues

Thanks Glen I might give that a try. At least the spring is too strong as opposed to not strong enough...

CZ 527 feeding issues

Anyone else had feeding issues with a CZ 527 Varmint 4-round mag? Have to use a fair bit of force to push the first round of a full mag into the chamber. Gets easier after that. Same issue with both Remington and Fiocchi factory 32-grainers, that's the only ammo I've tried so far. Sent from my iPhon...

CZ availability in Australia?

Cheers Steve, yeah seeing as they're a popular brand I don't know why there are so few in the country. By the way I could've picked up a new 527 in .223 but stuck to my original choice of .204 Ruger.

CZ availability in Australia?

Couldn't find a new one anywhere...then happened to stumble across a used 527 Varmint in walnut stock at a country gun dealer. In good nick and with a 4-12x40 Hakko scope. Now to test it out!

CZ availability in Australia?

Does anyone know if there's a new CZ 527 in .204 for sale at any gun dealer in the country? Proving very difficult to find!

Any leads would be much appreciated.

.204 reload cost in Australia?

Ok thanks Boomer, good info there. Not that cheap for .204 and .223 as well. Certainly more affordable than factory ammo though...

Redfield Revolution for .204?

Thanks for the comments. Also checked out a Bushnell Elite 4-16x40 which I liked the look of.

Didn't get it in the end as I'm still working out what I want. Song Dog, what model Redfields do you have?

Redfield Revolution for .204?

Hi all. Looking to buy my first centrefire, in .204, and am considering either a CZ 527 American, Tikka T3 Hunter, or possibly Ruger M77 MkII. So I don't have the rifle yet but have chanced upon a used Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 scope, VGC, with 5/8 alloy rings to suit Tikka T3, for AUD$280. I plan...

.204 reload cost in Australia?

Cheers Bill, I haven't heard of those calibres but will check them out. May be difficult to get ammo in Australia though.

Considering either a CZ 527 or Tikka Hunter, not sure of the scope yet though. Have read good things about both these models.

.204 reload cost in Australia?

Thanks for the info Bill. If the reload cost is very similar then I'm leaning towards the .204, as at present I won't be shooting anything larger than foxes and I like the idea of negligible muzzle jump. If I end up chasing bigger game in the future I can always go for a larger calibre. As I said pr...

.204 reload cost in Australia?

Hi all, new to the forum and fairly new to centrefires too. Looking at getting either a .204 or .223 for foxes and medium to long range bunnies and feral cats. My question is - and I have never reloaded before - how much does it cost per round to reload the .204 in Australia? I already have access t...
