have you shot the rifle after you took it apart ? If that not fix the issue and the barrel is not free floating I would call Ruger they have great coustomer service I have the same rifle in 204 and its very accurate good lick to you

Yes I have put several rounds down range both factory and my reloads it is a tack driver doing some more load testing today. so far the 32 gr V-max is the most accurate.

rfd, that is preaty good groups. I have the RAR in 30-06 and I like the feel of the RAP stock much better than the RAR.I think the barrel on the RAP is weight foward more than the RAR. I sand baged my 204 and i can hit hole for hole with it in my handloads
