I've noticed with my Cooper Model 21 that after shooting about 10-15 round checking loads, seems to open the pattern significantly. It hasn't been an issue at all while shooting prairie dogs since there is more time between shots. Mine has a fluted heavy barrel. But Cooper barrels are not near as he...

39gr. Bullets
Do most of you loading 39gr. SBK bullets use the printed 40 gr. recipes? I don't see any published recipes for these bullets and don't have a Sierra loading manual. BTW, while were at it, what do you like for 35gr Bergers using Varget and 8208 XBR.

I'm curious. I recently bought several boxes of factory loaded, Hornady, 40gr. V-Max cartridges. The box states that they are 3900fps loads. I purchased the original loads for my new gun since I didn't have any 204 brass. WHile looking at all the data bases I can't find anywhere loads with that kind...

Grendel, as I said, my buddy's gun is exactly the same, 1:12 twist, 23". Only difference in our guns is mine is fancier looking.
