Re: Lyman® 1200 DPS 3 Digital Powder System
I did not like either one that I bought. Purchased one....VERY inaccurate. Second, better, but, not that accurate. Tried two, no, three of the RCBS units as well.....just not accurate enough. Be careful of the electronic dispensers....the warranty is terrible on most of them. Spend the money on a GO...

Re: First time using dry lube
Clean your dies thoroughly, then try the dry neck lube again.
I only use the dry neck lube when I am using a bushing neck die as well.
Depending on the powder you use, you might have to brush the inside of the case necks as well, some powder is dirtier than others.

Re: new scope
For the price, you cannot beat the Pentax Gameseekers with the PP2 reticle. http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/pentax.pl?page=gameseeker16x50 But, know this, might as well buy once....buy the best glass you can. I really like the Leupold 6-18x40. Just a little more money than your $300 budget, but w...

Re: loading new Lapua brass
Check the lettering on the bottom of your cases as well. Some case, when the caliber/manufacturer info is stamped, leaves high points and can cause the brass to be tipped slightly in preses, regardless if shell holders or no shell holders are used (Forster CoAx or Arbor presses). I would still FL si...

Re: Info on FH/FNH pistols
VenBurger - thanks.
I actually did have the chance to hold one in hand. Feels just like my Springfield XD Service model (in 40 S & W)....minus the grip safety.
Balance was good, overall dimensions were good....I am impressed.
But, in all reality, what do I really need another handgun for?

Re: loading new Lapua brass
I always neck size new brass. I did try FL sizing but found that it really wasnt sizing the case at all, so I just neck size to perfect the case mouth and to make sure I have the neck tension that I want. Looks like I will be doing a lot of plinking and just plain shooting to get all my brass fire ...

Re: loading new Lapua brass
Full length size the new brass. If you still have excessive bullet runout, the problem is in your gear, NOT you.

Re: Help on dies which to buy
You are actually having an issue with the seating stem of the die. In some cases, you need to open up (drill) the center of the seating stem so that the contact point is NOT on or near the plastic tips, but on the ogive of the bullet. This is especially true for bullets that are long for caliber suc...

Info on FH/FNH pistols
Have an opportunity to purchase a new FN/FNH pistol in 9 or 40 (10 or 14 round). My pick would be the 40 caliber 14 round flavor. Besides that, anybody held one in hand? I use a Springfield XD Service model in 40 S & W to teach concealed carry. Any personal opinion between the two? Have not held...
