I like my 12FV in 223 so much, that I bought a 12FV in 204!
Yes, they are that good.
For the price, quality, and accuracy, cannot be beat.
Don't be afraid to purchase a Savage without the accutrigger - only costs $30 to install a new trigger that flat out rocks!

24 will do fine for spotting them. I look for the long shots at 20 power, but shoot with my scope on 12X. Why? Smell them. Should be a strong alcohol type smell (close...not exact).
Powder should not have a rust color to it.
